This one day Paediatric First Aid course is a standalone qualification designed for those who have an interest in child and infant basic life support. A range of subjects are covered including wounds and bleeding, resuscitation & choking, defibrilation procedure adapted to children, epilepsy, dealing with an unresponsive casualty and minor injuries. This qualfication is accepted as an equal alternative to the 1 day Emerrgency First Aid at Work in order to meet the minimum operating standards for HAPpy mandatory training.

If you have a professional interest (i.e. you are a child-minder or school teacher, etc) then this course partly fulfils the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage require you to have 12 hours of paediatric first aid training, so our two day Paediatric First Aid course would be required to fulfil their requirements. This 6 hour qualification makes up the first half of the two day course.

Please note: We can only fund 1 First Aid course per person - Please select 1 date on either the 1 day Emergency Paediatric OR Emergency First Aid at Work qualfication.

Minimum Age: 16yrs Old

Terms & conditions: You must give atleast 7 days’ notice to cancel your place. If you cancel within 7 days your organisation may be charged in full. You may transfer the place to another individual in your organisation with up to 48 hrs notice at no charge. If you fail to show on the day this will be considered a funded place and you cannot be funded again for a First Aid qualification through HAPpy.
