Following the success of our HAPpy Learn & Share events run in May & November 2024, we are coming together again to reflect on 2024 delivery and work together to learn & share ideas on how you can refresh, adapt and develop your offer to meet the growing needs of children of different ages and abilities. Run during Mental Health Awareness Week (12th-18th May) there will be a clear focus on this throughout the event.

We have put together another exciting day to network and learn alongside other HAPpy providers with content focussing on the following key themes identified as needing support in recent delivery phases:

• CYP Mental Health, Wellbeing & Physical Acitvity - Hertfordshire MIND will be running a SPOT, SUPPORT, SIGNPOST session for us - reflect on what types of mental health challenges you are seeing in the young people attending your camps, what you currently do, and how you can you use their Activity library and resources as part of your planning for Summer.
• Adapting Physical Activities for all ages and abilities - There will be a practical element to the day where we run through ideas in groups for Ice-breakers, Energisers, Team Builders and Small Sided Games using the STEPS adaptation tool. (Please come in appropriate clothes & footwear).

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and we will finish with a networking lunch - Please provide any relevant dietary requirements for all attendees when you register.

We would like to invite TWO representatives from each 2024 HAPpy provider. Ideally this would be the programme LEAD and a representative of your DELIVERY staff but representation from anyone in your organisation would be beneficial. Please only book up to two tickets for your organisation unless otherwise advised. (If your organisation delivers at multiple venues/sites we may be able to offer you more places - please let us know).

Bookings close at 12pm on Friday 9th May (for 7 days notice of any dietary requirements) - if you would like to book a place after this time, please contact hsptraining@herts.ac.uk by email and we will do our best to accommodate if we have spaces left!
